Deadline for closure of grandfather window approaching!!

The Grandfathering window for Veterinary Physiotherapy Applications to AHPR via Recognition of Prior Learning/Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning will close on the 1st April 2020 at 5pm. After this date applications will no longer be accepted via this route unless applicants completed training from outside the UK.

The grandfathering window for Veterinary Physiotherapy has been open since the sub-group went live in March 2018. Working Veterinary Physiotherapists are welcome to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning/Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning up until 5pm on 1st April 2020.

In order to ensure that all registrants are competent to practice, the Recognition of Prior Learning/Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning process requires the applicant to demonstrate a high standard of knowledge and practice which meets day one competencies for the industry. Mapping and evidencing experience and learning to the competencies can be time consuming, so we urge you to start this process today. Full guidance can be found here. You can also contact Veterinary Physiotherapy board member, Katie Lawrence, for any help and advice you may need on vetphysio@ahpr.org.uk
